During the withestyle there are some adjustments concerning public operation and opening hours ski school office.
The ski school area has limited use - therefore the public operation from 02 - 05 March 2023 (12:30 -16:00 ) is exceptionally on the right side of the upper magic carpet (see picture).

Update February holiday week 2021
We are ready for the February holiday weeks. There are currently sensational conditions on the ski slopes. The descent to Lauterbrunnen is groomed and open.
Before the start of the February ski vacation, winter really arrived. The slopes are excellent. Even the valley run to Lauterbrunnen has been prepared and offers a wonderful run down to the valley floor.

Winter sports in the Mürren-Schilthorn destination will be possible if a few rules are observed. Safety measures are required in the cabins and gondolas: mouth and nose protection is mandatory here. According to the current state of knowledge, classic protective masks do not necessarily have to be worn, but certified multifunctional cloths also ensure the necessary safety. Further corona-related requirements and restrictions are not expected. Nothing stands in the way of having fun in the snow and thus your winter holidays.

Old telephone booths become shop windows
The two telephone booths at the post office in Lauterbrunnen were retired. This spring, the former Swisscom telephone booths were used to create shop windows for the gardening company Garten Ideal GmbH and the Swiss Ski School Mürren-Schilthorn.

Operations on the ski school grounds are restricted during the construction, competition and dismantling of the Whitestyle Open. Swiss Snow Happening 2018
"A successful event at all levels"
The area Mürren - Schilthorn hosted the Swiss Snow Happening this year. A total of 985 snow sports instructors demonstrated their skills in 9 different disciplines (a total of 1457 starts) and fought for the coveted title of king and queen of snow sports instructors. Beatrice Zimmermann and Elias Luminati were crowned Queen and King at the Swiss Champions' Party on Saturday evening and received the coveted title as well as a gold GIRO winning helmet. Swiss forts in formation driving were Team Powderwomen Toggenburg and Demo Team Saas.

Karleen Jeffry-Barlia wins the snowboard cross at the Swiss Snow Happening Mürren
Karleen Jeffry-Barlia wins the home race at the Swiss Snow Happening Mürren in front of Rebeka von Känel and Isabel Jud.
Karleen works as a ski and snowboard instructor at the Swiss Ski School Mürren-Schilthorn. It is the first victory ever in the history of the Swiss Ski School Mürren on a Swiss Snow Happening, and this only at the host in Mürren.
We congratulate Karleen on her top performance and are proud to know such a great snow sports teacher in our team.

Swiss Championships of snow sports instructors
From 11 to 15 April 2018, the Swiss Snow Happening will take place in Mürren, where around 1000 snow sports instructors will compete in different disciplines. In total, around 3000 winter sports fans are expected to celebrate the season finale in the 007 destination and fight for the title King & Queen.

Visit us on December 16th from 12.30pm - 3.00pm at Birg and test our ski instructors. For free you can take a ride with one of our Ski instructors and get some tips. There will be skis, snowboards and a telemark instructor for you. We are looking forward to see you!

This weekend, the Schilthornbahn starts winter operation. The chairlifts Riggli, Muttleren and Kandahar will be open on Saturday and Sunday for the ski business. New! Groupe lessons at the Weekend!
What is more beautiful than spending time in the mountains around Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau? With our weekend courses, the kids can also improve their skills in skiing outside the sports holidays. The group lessons take place on Saturday and Sunday from 09.30 - 12.00. The basis for our snow sports lessons is the Swiss Snow League. With the visit of two weekends the contents of a normal week course can be fulfilled. In addition to the attractive price of CHF 111.00 per weekend, take advantage of early booking for more than 10% early bird discount on December 20!

Expanding snowmaking system
Zur Wintersaison 2017/2018 wird die erst Etappe der Beschneiungsanlage in Betrieb genommen. Es wird ein Leitungsnetz von rund 2.2 Km mit 25 Zapfstellen realisiert. Alle 25 Zapfstellen werden mit Lanzen bestückt. Der Teilausbau umfasst die Pisten an den Sesselbahnen Allmiboden und Maulerhubel zu jeweils 100% der Pistenfläche. Dank diesen Arbeiten wird die Schneesicherheit deutlich erhöht und vor allem der Einstieg in das Skigebiet über die Bahn-Achse Lauterbrunnen - Grütschalp, Winteregg wird wesentlich an Attraktivität gewinnen.

Wintersaison with popular new offers
Werner Gerber, Head of the Swiss ski school Mürren - Schilthorn, looks back on his first winter season. The new offers of the ski school have been well received. The frequencies are slightly lower than in the previous year.
With the entry of Werner Gerber as new ski school leader, some innovations have already been implemented in his first winter season: "The autumn was characterized by the design of the new website and the new offers", Gerber looks back. In the course of the offer, the traditional services such as group lessons, skiing and snowboarding as well as private lessons were supplemented by training packages around the international Inferno races, theme workshops, company and beginner offers. "The snow sports instructors and the regular guests of Mürren were also very pleased with the reintroduction of the star rating at the ski school."
Stable frequencies - popular special offers
"The operation of the ski school was only possible to a limited extent during the snowy season at the start of the season. In order to catch this, an additional Seillift was installed on the higher Allmendhubel, "says Werner Gerber. The first ski school race could only be carried out in February due to snow conditions. Due to the persistently mild temperatures, March 2017 also fell lower than in the last few seasons.
The frequencies for group lessons in ski and private lessons have declined by around 10 per cent compared to the previous year. On the other hand, the bookings of the snowboarding groups could be increased by almost 15 per cent.
With 250 guests the demand for the beginner offer "Try-to-ski" - very popular with Asian guests - was particularly pleasing.
Conclusion and outlook
"The first season was very interesting and varied for me," says Werner
Gerber back. "The sensational support of my team and the recognition of snow sports instructors were a special incentive."
The 2017/2018 season will be marked by the "Swiss Snow Happening"
Swiss Championship of snow sports instructors will be held from 11 to 15 April 2018 in Mürren
carried out. More than 1,500 snow sports instructors from all over Switzerland are taking part

DemoTeam007 at Swiss Snow Happening Nendaz
The DemoTeam007 reached the 22 position
The DemoTeam007 of the Swiss ski school Mürren-Schilthorn represented the Mürren-Schilthorn region at the Swiss Snow Happening in Nendaz.
With the third participation in the Swiss championship, the DemoTeam007 was able to increase significantly compared to previous years. The young team was able to compete with two renowned teams. In the end, the 22nd finish of a total of 50 teams resulted.

From Monday 10.4.17 we will not be able to offer lessons for beginners! Ski lessons will only be possible from Level Blue King / Queen (SwissSnowLeague) at Birg.

Monday to Thursday: 9.30 to 12
Friday & Saturday: 2pm to 4pm
Sunday & Monday: 9:30 am to 12 and 2 pm to 4 pm
